Guest Posted September 9, 2002 Share Posted September 9, 2002 Hey Fred,A scanned picture is a digital picture. So yes you would need a digital picture. Either one that has been taken with a digital camera or one that has been scanned in. If you don't have a scanner talk to some of your friends and see if anyone has a digital camera. Find that younger guy at the car show (we are all gadget happy!) and ask them to take a picture for you! You also need to know that you'll have to reduce the image size once you get a digital picture. This isn't hard if you have the right software.I hope this helps get you started. They'll scan the print and give* you a floppy disc or CD with the scanned picture on it. Tell them it's for internet use and they'll make it the right size and format.*Well, not exactly "give"--as I recall, the service costs around $10.
