I recently inherited a 63 with a 401.  I'm trying to decide whether to send  send off the carb to be rebuilt or purchase a rebuilt carb.  It currently has the Rochester but i wouldn't be apposed to switching to the Carter since it is easier to find.  Does anyone know the exact models of the carbs in 63?

Thanks

Michael

Because of the unique lever operated kick down on cars equipped with a Dynaflow transmission, you're much better off with an original carburetor just because of the kick down lever and linkage on the carburetor.  Carter AFB 3578.

Nothing wrong with the Rochester if it's good and rebuildable.
