How to resize forum images

Recommended Posts

By default, if you upload large images to this forum it displays them at full screen width. That can make your posts with multiple images really long and actually it makes it harder to follow what is being said in the post.

It is possible to easily resize your images on this forum if you choose to do so.  Resizing your images will make it easier for you to place text inline with your photos and it will also make it easier for readers to scroll through your posts. After resizing your photos it is still possible to view them in full size by clicking on your resized image once your post has been submitted.

For those who would like to reduce the size of your images in your posts, here is a short tutorial to show you how.

* This tutorial can be used to go back and resize images in previous posts by using the "edit" button below your posts.

1. Choose the photo you want to upload as you normally do.

2. Click the thumbnail of the image you just uploaded.

3. You will see your image inserted into your post full size.  Double click on the large image and you will see a box popup.

4. Enter the width you prefer your image to be in the box provided and click the "update" button.
   * Now you will see your image displayed in your post in the smaller size.

5. Click the "Submit Topic" button to save your post.

I hope you find this tutorial useful.
