hddennis
Does anyone know where I can get fabric dyed? I need some belting and canvas fasteners dyed to match the canvas top on my Maxwell before they are sewn together. They are white now and need to be dyed gold or tan. Larry Schramm
If you want, you can do it yourself. Here is the stuff to do it. https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=rit+dye&tag=mh0b-20&index=arts-crafts&hvadid=4966098920&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_3206e7qd5d_e
hddennis
Funny you should mention that Larry. That was my idea originally until wife heard of my plan and she put up such a stink I couldn't reason with her no matter what I tried. To hear her I was about to create another Chernobyl ! So I just gave up and want to impact her checkbook rather than the environment. Howard Dennis
Larry Schramm
Go to home depot and buy a five gallon bucket and some rubber gloves. Then dye it out on the lawn in the back yard. Nothing is impossible. Some things are more difficult than others. Edited September 26, 2016 by Larry Schramm (see edit history)

I couldn't come up with any way of disposing of the leftover water that she could live with. Some people are lucky enough to have an understanding spouse who actually likes this hobby. I'm not one of them. Howard Dennis
Digger914
To get a good tan dye and avoid another Chernobyl, go natural and use coffee or tea. Soak and dry to desired shade, tea will give a good tan, coffee will be a bit more brown.
