What years shared 1940 panel truck coachwork/sheetmetal?

Hello and thanks for taking time to read this. I'm looking to build a 1940 Dodge panel truck, and am curious, due to the war, what years might be the same regarding body parts, 1941, 1946-47?

Join this forum. A lot of good knowledgeable people. I know the dash and front sheet metal changed but to what degree. Start doing an internet search on all years and compare. Let us know what you find. Thanks

Here's a photo of my 40 panel I owned a while back. Notice the headlights and grill......I think the headlights were in this position for 39 and 40.  In 41-47 they evolved onto the tops of the fenders.

I think the dash changed in 41 too and did not have the vertical strips in the center of the dash like my 40 did.

Some had headlamps like this and it's not a CA thing.

Yup, the bigger trucks had those headlights mounted lower on the truck

Nope. I have a 2 ton 39 mounted up high.

Thanks Countrytraveler and RegEvans, I've looked at online photos. but you never know for sure if an online photo is labeled accurately, it does look like the 1940 Panel truck body itself, is alike a 1941, and 46-47, photos of a 1948 show big changes.
