Guest Timothy D Bowers
Incredibly, having difficulty finding a thermostat application for our 1937 Model 26 Business Coupe. Anybody have a modern cross reference on a thermostat?
poci1957
Hi Tim, how's it going? Hope you are well. In the 1956 Pontiac Master Parts Catalog the factory interchange is listed from 1937-54, part # 3132436 (160 degree). www.pontiacparts.net is the best flathead Pontiac parts house I know and they offer modern replacements that they say fit all 1933-58 IF used with their stainless retainer ring (sold separately) as an adapter. Other sources (with no mention of a retainer ring) say if the thermostat you need is 2 1/8" in diameter you can use a Gates 33006 (160 degree) or 33008 (180 degree) or Stant 13006 or 13008. Good luck, Todd Crews Edited August 23, 2016 by poci1957 (see edit history)
