Paul Jacobson
Can someome please help me? The colors for the HC are Maxwell green,[dark green] with black mouldings and carmine and gold striping. Where is the gold and carmine striping? What color are the fenders and the wheels? Thanks Paul re5s@yahoo.com
twrcars
My assessment would be that the fenders are black, because they were japanned while the body was color varnished; the wheels, body color (Green). The carmine (red) striping would make the most sense against the green, outlining the panels inside the black reveals and on the wheels. The gold striping probably would be on the fenders, but I have never seen such.
Guest
My 1907 sales book doesn't show any color for the running gear or wheels and I think the 1908 is the same. I believe that the complete car, wheels, fenders, ronning gear and body should be Maxwell Green. My striping is black on the molding with a 1/8" gold stripe next to it.
