1910 starter addition

Recommended Posts

You'll have to modify your flywheel, have a surface machined on it all the way around, then install a ring gear.  You'll have to do the research to find what ring gear will fit.  I know of a few 1910 Model 16/17 Buicks that did this on the front side of the flywheel, then mounted a fairly new Corvette starter (they're fairly small) using the back crankcase vent as an anchor for the starter.

If you have a Model 10, I'm not sure of the flywheel configuration, as it's a totally different car than the 16/17.

The unfortunate thing is that you will end up cutting away original metal to do this conversion.
