waltmail
Before I bust this thing, is it glued on or attached with bolt posts which would require bumper cover removal? If I need to drop the cover, does it require bumper removal also? Thanks for any and all tips.
KDirk
It is held on with three self-threading speed nuts on posts attached to the rear of the emblem. Possible (but difficult) to remove by taking off the lower valence (black piece under rear bumper skin) and reaching way up in there, but much easier to remove by pulling the entire rear bumper. KDirk Quote Thank you. Sprayed PB Blaster on the bumper nuts/bolts. Got all of the screws out of the lower valence but it is still hanging in there. Lost my patience and will try again to see what is holding that on. Once that is done and those parts are removed I will base coat/clear coat them including clearing the metal bumper. waltmail
Progress made. Dropped the valance ( found the corner bolts ). Dropped the bumper and sure enough script is bolted to cover. Need to pick up some code red paint.
