hddennis
A good friend shared this and I thought it was worth passing on. Howard Dennis Beany's Drive Thru - Long Beach, Ca - 1952-53 The 50’s were the best years. Notice the cooks at the drive-in, no gloves handling the food. How did we survive? Yep It's fun to see. Watch for "Mr. McDonalds," Ray Kroc, walking up in a suit and tie to buy a burger. Notice the DRIVE UP window speaker to order..... 1953!! This is great to watch if only for the cars and the clothes! There is so much to take in, you will probably watch several times, or pause to look closer.

Guest AlCapone
A friend of mine showed me this on New Year's Eve. It is great but I wish it was longer. Wayne
Guest
The drive in theatre is called circle Drive-in. It's called that because it's right off the Long Beach traffic circle which HWY 1 goes through. That circle or round about is the first one I ever drove on. There are some great cars that I'm sure we would all like to have today in that clip. From our house at the beach near LAX we used to drive through the circle on surf trips to north San Diego County way before the FWY systems were built. Thank you Howard for the clip!
