waltmail
IIRC some device controls the activation of the cabin lights. Can someone provide a heads up if I am going down the right path. Is this a sensor and is there a method of testing it. Edited January 11, 2016 by waltmail (see edit history)
waltmail
I may be going down the wrong path. After disassembling most of the interior to make sunroof and headliner repairs, up[on reassembly I have no power to the sun visor lamps, overhead cabin light door panel lights, etc.
waltmail
Okay. The cabin roof lamp now works when the passenger side door opens. Not on the driver door.
KDirk
Could be drivers side door jamb switch, it's associated wiring or bad ground splices in the floor pan raceway under the seats (the latter of which has been covered here many times in the past several years). If the pass side is operating the interior courtesy lamps normally I am much less likely to suspect a BCM malfunction, though the BCM does ultimately control the interior lights by way of reading the various switch inputs and thereby energizing the relay which the ground side of the courtesy lamp circuit is switched by when called for.KDirk
