Jerry Alexander
Our recent purchase of a 1929 Chevrolet International has spurred me into wondering about the history of this car. I presume others have also been stimulated in the past. If so how did you solve the mystery? What resources were used? I have contacted the AACA Library and found out they do not do research for individual vehicles. I presume I can contact the DMV of Wisconsin (where this car was formerly registered) to learn if they could be of any assistance. Does Chevrolet maintain files of individual vintage cars/trucks? Thanks.
wendling
I am with you it would really be interesting to find out the history of a car for the present owner, and also the family of the original purchaser, old pictures of interest would probably show up. I think a State would make some extra money if they would help search it out, our State only goes back just a few years, and not enough for most collector cars.
