Guest 1939century
I am new to the site and to Buicks as well. I am trying to build a nice driver not all original or a show car. I recently bought a 39 Century 4 door project and am starting to gather parts. I found a 40 4 door special that looks like it may be a good donor. My main concern is sheetmetal and possibly interior. That being said I am not trying to keep the car all original so I am trying to find out about doors and fenders. Will they physically fit and I am not worried about trim . Can anyone help with interchange information Thanks for any help you can give
1939_Buick
The basic body shell & doors are the same or very closeRear fenders 1940 series 40 to 1939 series 60 the same I think. Some of the holes may be different but easily welded/cutFront fenders 1940 series 40 to 1939 series 60 are a lot differentMechanically they are different 320 ci vs 248 ci And the good news !You can join the '39 Buick team here on the forum Edited September 30, 2015 by 1939_Buick (see edit history)
