Guest 47/8 Chevy Ben
I am the proud owner of a 71 VW rag top SuperBeetle BUT NOW own a 1947/8/9 Chevy 3/4 or 1ton. From the serial number 1143402801 (model #1434) & comments read I have concluded it is a Canadian made Chevy! Any additional info will be greatly appreciated! My plan is A) to put this beauty onto a 1985 (H/duty) Suburban frame which will keep'r running as a standard or a 1999 (14 yrs newer) Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 frame. Problem is 4x4 is an automatic & I'm not sure what the additional costs would be for a standard trani (on top of the extra $1000 for the 4x4)Also wondering if I'll be able to find a Standard trani for the 502 Eldorado engine I ideally want to throw into herPLEASE HELP
1939_Buick
Welcome to the forumThis web site is more to do with the preservation and restoration of cars as they left the factory. But there are some threads on modified cars. You would get better answers on a hot rod forum, H.A.M.B or the like
pacerman
Also, www.stovebolt.com would have all the answers you are seeking. Good luck with your truck.
