John N. Packard
Gordon,
I have two 318 Mopar engines; one from a '69 Coronet Wagon and the other from a '76 Volare Wagon. I am in Maryland if you are interested. They are yours for the shipping cost.
jnp
Guest
I have a 1975 Plymouth Duster with a blown engine and I'm looking for an engine to replace the blown one. It currently has a 225-6cyl but I would like to put a V-8 in the car. Does any one have a cheap one as I'm a small business owner and since the sad day 9-11-01 my business has slowed. What I need is a 340, 360 or 318 with or without trans. I would like to have the trans as I have not been able to find an engine or trans near me.(Northern Ca)Thanks for your help. Guest
Gordon
I semi-remember that on these small body mopars there is a different K-frame on the six cylinder cars versus the v8 cars. The K-frame is a formed and welded heavy guage steel stamping bolted to the unibody under the engine which incorporates the motor mounts and suspension pick up points. If I'm correct, which is rare, this will make your swap a little more involved.
ted sweet
There are conversion motor mounts for the /6
to v8 swap from Schumacher at 206-364-7151.
No k frame swap required.
