Hoping to find one instead of popping for a reproduction in stainless steel. Mark Shaw Posted January 2, 2015 Share Posted January 2, 2015 When the reproductions were made from aluminum they were more reasonable, but the also needed to be plated. The SS reproductions are quite "spendy". Unfortunately, the originals were pot metal and almost always break or the nubs wear out and just spin on the shaft. So now you're stuck with buying a new one that won't match the originals in your car, or replace all of them. My son is in the same situation with his 29 Buick.
