Guest cwheelin
I have read many people say that their quality isnt that good and Jamco takes way too long so I was just wondering if the OPG springs are good as it isnt like a bezel, trim etc that can be screwed up. I want to get 2" lowering spring for the front and rear. I did put in a quote request to Coil Spring Specialties to see what they say. Thanks
neatname
I bought my 3" springs from OPG..fast delivery. I had a couple quotes out there..and it was hard to beat the price. I like the 3" drop in the rear, but I wished i would've gone with a 2" up front, as it has a slight rake.. Overall I'm happy with the ride, and the look. Guest slacker1965
PM atomickneedrop.....that is my brother Kraig....he found out who supplies jamco's stuff(coil spring spcs?) & ordered direct. if whatever drop you get doesn't suit, custom spacers can be made to fine tune it. the rears are pigtail springs so the spacer needs to fit the diameter. 4wd people & factories do it all the time. my 97 grand cherokee has factory 1" spacers on it. RockinRiviDad
I bought my -2" springs from CSS (Coil Spring Specialities) coilsprings.com. After reading loads of threads (do a search) on coil spring dialog, I was convinced buying from the source (CSS) was the right choice. Call them up to feel them out, they are super cool & easy to talk to. I'm in SoCal to (sent u a PM) & I think CSS had my springs on my door step in less than a week. <a href="http://s1360.photobucket.com/user/RockinRiviDad/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps85c99826.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r655/RockinRiviDad/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps85c99826.jpg" border="0" alt="CSS springs photo image_zps85c99826.jpg"/></a>Neatname: look into what slacker1965 said about spacers. When I tore my suspension down I found what looked like factory spacers/shims (two in front one in the rear). I'm not talking the screw in kind, those are junk. In your case, to do it right, you would have to drop the front springs & the spacer would slip in between the top of the front spring & the spring perch in the frame. Guest atomickneedrop
Hello,Coil spring specialties supplies Jamco. I went with a three in drop. Little low with the wheels and tires but I like the look and it doesn't bother me that it scrapes here and there. Here are a couple of other threads for your reading enjoyment.http://forums.aaca.org/f177/jamco-3in-kit-334185.htmlhttp://forums.aaca.org/f177/coil-spring-specialties-339073.htmlhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/vwsyncro/sets/72157624784518990/ IF you want to look at my project ;-) Cheers Kraig
msdminc
cwheelin, I bought a set of springs from CSS for my '65 and since I live in NE Kansas I drove over to pick them up. The order was completed fast and to my specs. They can make them to factory specs or to whatever over/under you want. I agree they were easy to deal with and great folks.gord
