Guest classic.car.fan Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 i need to replace the ignition on my 74 buick electra. but i can not figure how to remove the ignition. there are no screws to remove anything around it. do i need to remove the steering wheel?. Larry Schramm Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 If you are talking about the ignition switch from the steering column, yes you will need to remove the steering wheel. You will need to have a couple of special tools to get to the switch.
