Maxwell Cuff-Links and Lost Key Return Postage

Recommended Posts

I have for sale an absolutely perfect set of cloissone cuff-links with the engraving "Maxwell Motor Corp" and "Universal Safety", with a cross in the middle. They are marked Robbins Co. Attleboro, Mass.

Additonally, I have a fob for a keychain marked "Universal Safety" and the cross in the middle. On the other side it is enscribed with "If keys are found, return to 731" and "Owners Reg. No.". Underneath is "Nat'l. Safety Council Chicago, ILL. and "Whitehead Hoag"

Obviously, these would be dated somewhere around 1915-25. The cuff-links are extremely rare and as close to perfect as they can get. The fob is worn on the cross, with a couple of spots worn off on the cross, but it is very presentable.

I see junk being passed off as jewelry at the local jewlery counter for $500 t0 $1000, so I think that $750 is very fair price on these.

I hate to sell these, but before I misplace them and wonder where they ever went, with Christmas here, it seems like a good time to offer them to someone who would appreciate them.

Would also be interested in knowing if any of you have seen or own these. Feel free to drop me a pm with info. Thanks.
