Gary B
Hello Studebaker lovers. I am in need of an impellar for my water pump. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one. Please reply. Glad to say I found an excellent company that will assist me in getting my Special Six back to being special. Anyone needing a great car guy for very old cars (San Francisco East Bay Area) should look into "Early Years & Exotics" in Livermore, Ca. studeq
For what it may be worth that impeller is part number 16871 and it fits all 1919 thru 1927 Big Six and Special Six (later called the Commander) engines so it had a wide application. If you cannot find one and opt to have one made the original blue print is available from the Studebaker National Museum. You might want to check with Rick Peterson who is editor of the Antique Studebaker Review as he has several Big and Special six cars in this era and is always tinkering with them (some actually run!). Gary B
When I last spoke with him 6-8- months ago he said he was totally out of business and could not continue. Are you saying he is still in business on a limited basis. I hope so.
