Beltfed
My '38 has had the juice conversion. Once you find the wheel stuff like drums, which way are you going on the master cylinder. "Fruit jar" or a modern set up? Mine was done by some previous owner, his name was Bubba, and is quite a mess as there is no place to put it without it hanging down under a cross member with welded angle iron. I am going with a neat setup from an aftermarket brake company (street rod and hot rods) that offer a non boosted two pot master cylinder that has like 70% more pressure to the drums than a stock non boosted setup. Good luck
oldstyle
Haha, I think Ive bought cars from the same guy. I haven't gotten far enough to say with certainty but it will probably be a 2 reservoir master cylinder under the floor. Drums? I thought the 37 drums would fit on the 39 setup. Beltfed
The drums may work but other problems lurk at the wheels. As far as the master cylinder is concerned... If I go fast, I want to stop faster. Know what I mean? I have not jumped into the brake system yet as I have "other fish to fry". I just looked under the car and thought....that's gotta go.
