Guest newguy101
Can anyone please help ID my car? I was told a 23 Chevy speedster but I think not.

nzcarnerd
Hmmm not much left of the original 1920s car whatever it was. Maybe a few more pics of the chassis from different angles might help identify it. What is the wheelbase measurement?

Guest newguy101
The radiator shroud was just a mock up, i will have to check for exact measurements but is is about 12' total length, 25 3/4" wide in front and about 43 3/4" wide in the rear. not sure if it is even the original frame to body though. Had a 39 chevy front axle and about a 51 super 88 rear end. My main thing is to identify the metal body which is the main reason I bought the car. keiser31
Has a lot of things that resemble my 1926 Chevrolet.......fenders and splash aprons above the running boards match.
Guest newguy101
Nice, maybe a Chevy after all? Any idea about the S in a circle on the frame? That might help identify the make.
keiser31
Nice, maybe a Chevy after all? Any idea about the S in a circle on the frame? That might help identify the make."S" was probably for "Superior" which was one of the designations in 1926 for Chevrolet.
Guest newguy101
Fantastic. Thank you. That's the most useful info I have received in the year I have owned it. Thank you.
keiser31
This crappy photo that I just took matches the frame under your car.....from the 1926 Chevrolet manual.
Guest newguy101
Was it common to make these without any doors or did they put a racer body on it? Never seen one with that short of a fold down windshield either.
keiser31
Yours clearly looks to be homemade or aftermarket body/cowl/windshield. I don't believe Chevrolet ever made a body that style.
