1949 98 Brake Switch Question

The brake light switch is in the front of the master cylinder (I assume it is a pressure switch). If I change that switch out, will I lose fluid and have to bleed the brakes?

Thanks,

Depends on how quick you are!

If you can get it in and out of there reasonably quickly I don't think you'll lose enough fluid to require bleeding the wheel cylinders.

And after all these years some Fords still use pressure switches for brake light and cruise control disengage switches.
