Dwight Romberger
Hi All,OK, I am a big fan of magic, but is there some kind of gasket or sealant I should use to keep the water temperature sensor probe ('30 Buick) from leaking where it is screwed into the head? It looks like the one in this pic. Thanks in advance.Dwight
Mark Shaw
Just about any kind of gasket sealant should work. It need not be high temperature sealant.
Dwight Romberger
Thanks Mark for the reply. I used permatex water pump gasket sealant. It worked great. I filled it up with Evan waterless antifreeze, and ran it for about 20 minutes. No runs, no leaks, no errors.Tommorrow I will mount the battery box and the front seat and take it for a maiden voyage around the neigborhood! Mark Shaw
I could use a good article on your restoration for the PWD Newsletter....
