Lost history on E L Cord

Gentleman,

Does anyone have knowledge of why Harley Earl dissasmbled the Olds Concept car and shipped it to E L Cord's place in California, in boxes ?

This is the GM Concept which John Hendricks, History Channel founder, now in his Gateway Colorado museum,

Much speculation has followed, would like to know if anyone really knows ???

Documents are much prefered, but basic factual knowledge is also desired.
