pvstudebak
The throw out bearing in my 1930 Dictator consists of some type a graphite molding which rides against a disk that operates te clutch. My question, does this require a lubricant or does this go together dry? Anybody have any expreance with this? Thanks for any information. dictator27
The idea behind graphite clutch release bearings is that graphite is self lubricating, so it shouldn't need any other lubricant. Having said that, a lot of British cars used graphite release bearings and under the right circumstances they would squeal when you stepped on the clutch. Doesn't do any damage, but it is rather annoying.Terry
