Guest 31DH
Trying to get inside door handles off.A while back someone suggested there wasnotches on the inside to get a special wrench in to remove the door handles. As you can see there is no notches on the inside. Any suggestions on how to get the rest of the door handles off. We had to heat inside the door to get this one off.Thankse
keiser31
I see what looks to be a spline pattern inside. I would use something like a pickle fork (pitman arm puller) or something similar, but thinner. Chances are they will be on so tight you probably won't get them off without breaking them. Use wood against the door for leverage distribution. Try to lubricate it with some WD40 or something similar first. RWPerry
The ones on my 1927 Senior are just pressed onto splines. It is very difficult to get them off without cracking some since they are pot metal. They apparently relied just on friction to hold them in place.
