39BuickEight Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 I think it's the same place as my '39. Mine was on the top of the passenger side rail where it goes up to clear the rear axle. Mine was poorly stamped and without knowing what it was from the tag on the front of the frame it would not have been readable really. Bhigdog Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 Mine were on the TOP of the driver frame rail aft of the rear end kick up. Can not be read with out removing the body or possibly cutting a hole in the body. Usually rusty and covered with dirt. Same place on two 55 Buicks and a 55 Olds but I'm guessing no guarantees.
