Guest sjohnson2615
I am preparing for my first meet and am trying to determine how or if a battery in a 1972 Corvette is judged. For those not familiar,it is in a compartment under a door behind the drivers seat.It is not visable from the outside in any manor.I can fold the drivers seat back forward and leave the battery door open, but I don't know if that is the proper way to display the interior. Thanks in advance for any tips. Restorer32
AACA does not open compartments nor will they fold seats. Judges are not to touch your car except to open the doors or the hood or trunk and only then with your permission. If the battery is not readily visible to the judges it won't be judged. Guest sjohnson2615
So if it is not judged, then do I get all the points or are all deducted?I guess I should start a new thread for another question, but does this apply to the hidden headlights as well?If they are in the down position, you can't see them either. Thanks
Restorer32
No deduction for items the judges can't see, including hidden headlights.
Restorer32
Hood open, trunk open, windows up, convertible top up. And remember that accessories can only lower your score, never raise it. Accessories must be factory installed or factory authorized if dealer installed. AACA also does not check VINs, build sheets or the like.
