Guest Steeleco
I'm planning to get my brake shoes replaced. Can anyone tell me what the chances are that the existing break return springs and clips are ok, or should I expect to need a spring kit? Thanks Edited November 10, 2012 by Steeleco (see edit history)
RivNut
If you're in doubt, replace them. Even if they look good, chances are they're weak. Replacement hardware shouldn't be too hard nor too expensive to find. When I did the brakes on my '64, I found spring clips at Advance Auto.EdBuy USA Brake Drum Brake Hardware Combi-Kit 7041 at Advance Auto Parts
