If you have power, it is probably the heater element (pad) under the upholstery that is shorted. Unfortunately, Dorman does not make a direct replacement like they do for other vehicles. I replaced the drivers seat heater pad in my wife's Rainier twice now, the scorching that happens at the site of the short is actually kind of scary.
