99 heated seat issue

Ok guys,

The driver's heated seat button displays correct lighting, HI / LO, but no heat.

Is there a relay located where, I could check/replace?

The owner's manual shows there to be a thermostat type fuse in slot 35 of the rear compartment fuse box.

Where in the world is that fuse box, under the cushion as is the battery?

I haven't pulled the rear seat yet, tried the passenger seat today and it worked,so know it isn't the fuse,

Must be a loss of contact between the switch and the seat element.

Will keep your posted.

Check for power to the element at the connector under the seat. If you have power, it is probably the heater element (pad) under the upholstery that is shorted. Unfortunately, Dorman does not make a direct replacement like they do for other vehicles. I replaced the drivers seat heater pad in my wife's Rainier twice now, the scorching that happens at the site of the short is actually kind of scary.
