Guest julmans1
Hi Folks,I'm not very technical especially when it comes to electrical. Been trying to get the marker lights working on this old farm truck while I await parts for the brakes. The headlights work like a champ. Most of the bulbs were corroded so I replaced them. The wiring has some exposed places and I think I can replace the wiring where needed. I really think it is possibly a fuse or something along these lines. I think that at least one of the 6 marker lights would have come on if the fuse worked. I have included a picture of what I think are the fuses for the head and marker lamps. Does anyone know what my next steps should be to troubleshooting the lights?</SPAN>Also, I probably know the answer to this but, can I splice the marker lamp wires with the headlights since I know the headlights work? Thanks,Juls
TerryB
Did you get it fixed? Your red paint looks new. Did you loose the ground connection for the lamps from painting the contact area for them on the stake body?Terry
carlisle1926
The only thing you can trust that wiring for is to burn your truck down. Replace ALL of it. I've thought I could get by with replacing only some of the wire before and it always bit me in the butt. You could very well have a bare wire that is grounding out on steel somewhere and causing those lights to not work. Rewire.
