colinvoice
HiJust starting to paint some parts on the engine of my 1931 McLaughlin Buick 90 series and wanted to know which parts were black and which were green or , if anything else was a different colour?? Also, were the McLaughlin engine colours different to the Flint Buicks?Colin
autodeco57
Colin,The suppliers have paint listed as through 30 and then 32 and later. I've seen 31 engines painted both green and black. Do you know which is factory correct? Was it a running change during the 31 model year?Steve Gorthy31 Model
jscheib
I can tell you what the BCA judging manual (date 2005) says. 1931 early indicate Olive Green, and 1931 late says Black. There has been much writen elsewhere on this forum regarding the colors, but I think the latest was sheet metal black and the block as olive green. I would suggest you search for older threads with the search words engine paint for 1931. By the way, Colin, I hope to have an idea of pricing for the pans within the next two weeks.John
