Guest newstew
Thanks for looking and your help. The vin is 3152999 and the engine is EQ33800 I was wondering if these numbers were unusual as far as assembly line production. Anyway this is a 1925 special six 2 door . Is there info on how many were 2 door coupes?
studeq
The serial # range for the 1925-26 EQ series was 3120001 to 3172932 (U.S.) and 3053231 to 3054180 (Canada). The engine # EQ1 thru EQ53750. The production run was from August 1924 thru July 1926 and 52929 were assembled in the Detroit plant plus another 851 in Walkerville Ont. Studebaker did not recognize model year designations at that time and felt free to make running changes at any time. As a result most states titled cars the year they were sold. There are no production figures by body style. All of this information and a lot more is available thru the Antique Studebaker Club. I assume you have joined?
