motoringicons
1938 Plymouth P6 Deluxe Four Door Touring Sedan. This is a super solid and straight car. The body shows no signs of damage or repair. I don't think the body or fenders have ever been off the frame. The door fit, hood fit, trunk fit, etc are excellent. The rockers, quarter panels, trunk pan, etc are all very nice and original with no damage. The glass is good throughout. The fenders do not look like they have ever been hit or repaired. The upholstery is very nice and probably replaced not too long ago. All the seats, door panels, headliner, etc are very nice and clean with no damage or stains. The car was repainted some time back and the paint has an "original" look to it with nice overall gloss, no areas of cracking, bubbling or lifting. The paint has a few areas where it has been chipped and touched up. The car has just come out of long term storage and has not been detailed, I think the paint could be cleaned up a lot, although it looks great the way it is.The chrome appears to be original and in good condition. The grill is nice as are the headlamps, etc. The dashboard has its original wood graining as does the garnish molding which are in nice condition. All the instruments are very clean and clear. The odometer shows a bout 35K miles which may be original. The steering wheel is very nice with no cracks, etc. The chassis is original and very clean with no rust or damage. It is nice and greasy as one would expect from a good original car. The engine bay is original as well. The engine starts easily, runs quietly, does not smoke, makes good oil pressure, etc. The transmission shifts quietly and smoothly and the clutch is good with no chatter. The brakes work well and the steering is nice and tight with no play. Overall this is a very nice, clean and usable car that can be serviced and used as it is. The price is 12,000.00 or near offers. Clear and current Michigan title.. The car is located near Ann Arbor, MI. Please call 734-730-4274 or email: motoringicons@hotmail.com for more photos or to come and inspect the car.
