50jetback
My parts book lists1928 - 47, 4 door sedan, Fisher Style 7640 on 120" wheelbase1928 - 47S, Deluxe Sedan, Fisher Style 7650 on 120" wheelbaseIt would appear the 47S is a Deluxe version of the 4 door sedan. They were also known as the Town Brougham and appear to have Landeau Irons at the rear.Seventy Years of Buick by Dammann gives production figures of 34,197 for Model 28 - 47 and 16,398 for the 28 - 47S. Guest Oracle
There were also McLaughlin-Buicks Series 120 Master Six 28-47 '5-PASSENGER SEDAN' and 28-47S 'BROUGHAM'. In Canada 'S' indicated 'Special' or deluxe. In the UK there were at least two factory models using the 28-47 chassis: 'Regent Tourer' (which would be an open car), 'Ambassador Saloon' four-door and a 7-seat Touring with Division (open again).
