Guest JohnArthurSpinks Posted October 8, 2011 Share Posted October 8, 2011 Tom,These oil fittings are special restrictor type fittings so as to limit the flow of oil back to the oil pan.In other words the hole in the fitting is very small and this limits the oil flow.If the hole was large then too much oil flows back to the oil pan and the oil pressure could drop too low.Re,eber the filter system is a bypass type and not a full flow.CheersJohn SpinksAustralia Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
