Does anyone know if quality new ones are available? will Chevy parts work.?Also what color red should be use to refresh the fender emblems. PONTIAC1953 Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 hi kzotpc, i've heard that california pontiac restoration has the hood springs, go to pontiacparts.net they have a online parts catalog. you can use regular red for the color for the background of of the 1951 to 1953 pontiac rear fender emblems, here's a picture of 1953 oldsmobile wire wheel covers that i modified with the same pontiac emblems that i repainted. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.
