MikeC5
I can't seem to find any spec on how much pedal free play there should be other than there must be some to ensure the clutch is fully released. Right now, the pedal goes down about half way before the throwout bearing moves. Although I haven't yet driven the car, it does appear that the clutch is releasing properly (I have the inspection cover removed) and I have unstuck the clutch disks. Is this normal? Also, should there be a pedal return spring to pull the pedal all the way back? Right now it only comes back as far as the clutch spring pushes it. The clutch linkage does seem sloppy.. Guest 1930
On the 29 half way is about right/normal and there is a return spring to bring it all the way back up, I would suspect 25 is the same.29 owners manual explains pretty well how to adjust clutch and pedal, do you have a 25 manual, if not I think I might and can see if it gives any info. RWPerry
My 25 coupe has about 1/3 free play. It does not have a return spring either. The pedal just kind of falls back when you take your foot off of the clutch
MikeC5
Thanks guys. Maybe it just needs a little adjustment.
