startergenrebuilder
I have a diagram somewhere around here I could send you. Let me know if you are still in need. Would you need a diode as well? Don't skimp on the amperage rating, go with the largest one you can fit. They get hot and have no good way to cool.JasonAdvanced Electrical Rebuilderswww.aerrebuild.com
Guest DodgeKCL
If you go to Tod Fitch's site 'Plymouth The First Decade' (33ply.com) he has complete instructions with photos to change out a Delco Remy generator cutout and replace it with a diode. You could extrapolate from his instructions to change yours. I have 50 amp. 1/4"-20 stud mounted diodes replacing all my original relay type cutouts. It's the only way to go. Batteries stay up better,no more lights flashing when you stop and start or shift gears as the cutout cuts in and out,no more dim lights at idle and no more discharge at idle or slow speeds. And no one can tell you've changed anything because it's under the cover.
RickBrinker
My generator on my 29 DeSoto decided to break the rear housing so I put a 6 vt GM one wire alternator on it best thing I ever did, the battery is is charged back up before I get to the end of the block.(I just don't open that side of the hood)
