Just finished putting new carpet in my 1950 Buick Special again (they sent me the wrong carpet the first time, but Kanter made good on it!) I also blew the wad and ordered new door sills as mine were shot. I installed an insulation product called EZ Cool under the carpet and behind the kick panels, makes a big difference in the sound and heat. Thought I'd post a few pics.

Looks nice. I put in the insulation also. I was able to polish up my door sills to my satisfaction. Keep up the good work.

Looks GREAT !! Your getting there !

Is it just the pics or are parts of the door jams different from the exterior color ?

My new doors sills made a world of difference too, didn't realize how much of an eye sore the old sills were..

No when I had it painted they didn't do the engine compartment or the inside of the doors. Mainly due to price considerations.
