MrEarl
Anybody ever seen one of these. Is it truly a Buick Dealer Clock and does the fact that it is a "factory goof" make it more or less valuable? wide open for thoughts and opinions hereHere is how the ad reads. Anybody care to hazard a guess at valueRare Early Buick Auto Dealer Clock Working from 1940's this is a rare factory goof. the Buick ad is straight with the hanger but the clock numbers are off about 40 degrees. The Clock works good and keeps good time
Guest Straight eight
Perhaps it was designed so the Buick emblem is on the angle, and the numbers correctly lined up?????
Malo48
I'm going to say it's not a true dealer advertising clock...the label on the back of the clock says 'Standard Electric Time Co.', and next to that is a 'JC' logo; the internet says that Standard Electric was bought by Johnson Controls in 1971. Assuming that's around when the clock was made, would Buick have used the old logo for anything?
