Guest ff48
Hello Everyone,I am trying to find out what the correct plugs are for a 1922 Buick 4-cyl. I checked on line and find reference to a 7/8 inch plug and also reference to an 18 mm plug. The car has a mixture of AC plugs, one 76, one 77 and two 78s. I have read discussions on the Chevy Club Forum about using Autolite 3086 and 3087 plugs (7/8 inch) in 4-cyl Chevys and have tried a plug from a 1928 Chevy motor that seems to fit.Comments about the Autolite 3077 are that it is a longer and hotter plug and may be too hot for the vehicle.Does anyone know what plugs should be used in this vehicle? I would welcome comments about using a hotter plug in the vehicle as well. Thanks for your assistance.Rick
Mark Shaw
Check this out.... You can enter the plug number to find equivilents... Guest Mike Hanning
I realise this is a late reply, however I can confirm the recommended Autolite spark plug is 3076. If you want to use a hotter plug you can step up a number.I run the 3076 in my 4cyl, 1924 Buick. They are still available too. best regards, Mike. Terry Wiegand
Rick,I have 'NEW OLD STOCK' correct AC plugs for your Buick. I want to suggest that we move this discussion to the 'BUY/SELL' forum. I do not want to be like those who buy and sell the water tubes in the wrong venue. I WILL state the asking price for you also.
