MCHinson Posted May 11, 2011 Share Posted May 11, 2011 Per the judging guidelines...Valve stems must be metal prior to 1930 and must be the same as originally suppliedon the vehicle. Owen_Dyneto Posted May 11, 2011 Share Posted May 11, 2011 They didn't all switch the same year. For a fact verified by factory photos Packard kept metal valve stems on wire wheels thru 1934. Unsure about use on Packard's wooden artillery or disteel wheels in 1934. I believe Pierce-Arrow also used them thru 1934 though many makes other changed over in 1933.
