Guest Rob J
Found this bracket in my box-o-parts. It was partially painted with Buick Engine Green. I've since cleaned, media blasted, and primed, but am not totally sure where it goes. This is from my 65 Riv GS project. RivNut
That is part of the alternator bracket for a '66 Buick w/o air. The main piece is a cast aluminum piece, this bolts to the cast aluminum piece and the large hole goes over a head bolt with a stud on it or one of the motor mount bolts - I can't remember which. The picture of the alternator does not have this bracket attached..Here are a couple of pictures that will help explain it for you.Ed Edited April 16, 2011 by RivNut (see edit history)

Guest Rob J
Hmm, this is strange. So this part is not used on a 65 with Air?? How the heck did I end up with this part? And, it was painted Buick Green?
