CTX-SLPR
Howdy,Is there a way to remove the filler neck from the gas tank without damaging either? Thanks,
Guest REX STALLION
I wonder if it is soldered on? If it is you could heat up the neck with a torch till the bond breaks****REMEMBER**** THE FUMES FROM GASOLINE ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE!!! ( Empty tank and fill with water)
Guest Kingoftheroad
From what I understand, its easier just to drop the whole thing as a unit....
CTX-SLPR
I have it out, I'm just shipping it to TX from CO. That filler neck sticking out is rather vulnerable and if it comes off I'd like to take it off. Otherwise it gets wooden armour.

petelempert
Only if you consider using a hacksaw damaging. PRL
