bifda
I am looking to find a source for ignition points for my 1928 studebaker dictator and my 1930 commander, they both have the same points fitted and run a Delco-Remy 636Y distributor.Does anyone know of a source for these points?thanksWayne Smith email: waynesmith78@hotmail.com

Guest stude8
The point set exclusively called for Delco 636 distributors uses Delco #813238 movable arm and Delco 813235 fixed contact. The arm is common to many other makes like Chevy, Chrysler, Olds and Studebaker models, but the fixed contact is only used by a few others like Elcar, Gardner, Kissell, Nash and Oakland besides Studebaker. You might have to substitute another version of the fixed contact (Autolite IB-24?) depending on thread pitch and stem length required.I sold all my vintage ignition stock to Bob Kapteyn years ago, don't know what all he has left at this time but try him at studebaker@mac.com.Stude8
