jwilli43
For Sale is a 1941 Buick Straight 8 Eight Engine. This came out of a 1941 Buick Special. I am selling this for a friend who owns an engine rebuild shop located in Cleveland, Ohio. He would like to get $600 for the engine but will accept offers. Two engines were brought in for a project. The customer had another small series engine that was rebuilt and this one was extra. This engine is in need of a complete rebuild. The cylinder head can be removed for inspection. The displacement of this Buick Engine is 248 Cu. Currently, the engine does not turn over. I was told this engine can be used in Buicks between '37 and '52. The engine number is 44405498 </O:pCash and carry or they can do the complete rebuild for you. The company specialize in antique engine rebuilding and antique car restoration. Please email us and I can forward you his number. He just loves to talk cars. Buyer is responsible for any shipping cost. Shipping is NOT included. Please contact us to make arrangements. <O:p</O:p<O:p</O:p They have the ability to put the engine on a pallet, band and deliver it to Forward Air freight for an additional $75. The Old Guy
In 48 they started using side motor mounts, and had bosses for mounting. This engine can be used from 37 to
Thriller
I'd like to have it to someday replace the '47 engine in my '41 so that I had an appropriate serial number, but it isn't a great need, particularly with shipping costs involved. The best bet may be Doug Seybold in Westlake - they specialize in '40 and '41 Buicks, performing restorations and selling cars / parts.
