Steve Suttle
For the model 116 cars, should the engine number and the serial number match?
dwollam
No. The engine will be approx. 50,000 higher.
Steve Suttle
Thanks.I figured there were engines built for industrial use and so forth.Did the Graham Brothers trucks have their own engine numbersor did they just use the DB numbered engines? Guest M R Simpers
I hear that the earlier DB differential between the car numbers and the engine numbers was closer to 30,000 or so. This figure increased over the years as replacement motors were built. I know in 1927 or so this difference was up to 74,000. This is the case with my 1927 Series 124 (May 4 or 5th of 1927) this difference is 74,085. Yes, the Graham Brothers used the DB engines and that vastly created this ever increasing difference.M. R.
