Guest REX STALLION
On a `63-`65 there are 2 studs with a hex bottom and a ball top, pull the pedal out and remove the studs, there will be a metal plate that the studs bolt through on the carpet. Once the studs are removed...replace carpet.
rivgs
Tom, If you are not keeping the old carpet. Cut a way the carpet from around the gas pedal base and you will have better access to the plastic base to remove it before you install the new carpet ( it snaps in ). Guest hammerala
Ya'll are right it snaps into 2 holes in the floor-board but be careful when poping it out are you will break the plastic like I did. I just did not think about cutting the carpet away from the pedal this would have made it alot easier. thanks again for all the help.
